no, not if 30.06 is the end-all-be-all cartridge, we already know that it is. my question is, what's better, the T/C Pro Hunter or the Encore?

my brother swears the Encore is the better platform/chassis, but they're rare as hens teeth it seems, which causes me to lean towards the Pro Hunter. I hate the stock, so I would immediate replace it with something from Boyd's, whom only has 'Encore' listed, so I'm 'hoping' they're cross-compatible. if not...perhaps I'll have to wait it out a bit longer and grab an Encore.

Everything is interchangeable between the two. What do you see different between the Encore and Pro Hunter platform other than the engraving on the side? I much prefer the Pro Hunter stock as it does absorb a considerable amount of recoil and these are heavy felt recoil rifles.

The receivers are the same. Encore has wood/blued option and 24-26" barrels. Pro Hunter is stainless/synthetic only, and uses 28" barrels. Also has the swing hammer, encore is fixed.
