About this time last year we ordered some AMSD Nemesis 50 cal rifles.
The 1st 2 rifles arrived here today. A long wait but certainly worthwhile.

Impressive piece of kit. Trust the neutral Swiss to bring out something as diabolical looking as that ! A weekend with that would be like having your 1st beer, losing your virginity and going into battle for the 1st time all rolled into one.

All these drool comments, but the real question is ...........how does she shoot :D

The 1 I shot, shot very well as in just over 1/2 moa.
In discussion with a client in the UK who has 1 and has had time to work up loads, claims that under 1/2 moa is quite easy with good ammo.
Seeing as both of these are presold, I will have to wait for a range report from the owners. My own is still being built, so won't have better 1st hand experience until later this spring:(

How does this compare with your ATRS 50 offering?

Well the are ALOT more expensive, but are repeaters hence more costly to make.
They are production rifles so you don't have much say in what they fit like, things like palm swell or anything truly custom that would make it your own 1 of type rifle. They do have fairly tight tolerances but still not as tight as a true match rifle.

I had the pleasure of seeing it first hand and despite Rick warning me not to touch it, I took the risk...haha (think 338 barrel blank being swung at your head and you will get the picture). It is a beautiful rifle, nice grip and feel, the trigger is very nice. The owners of these guns are going to be happy, happy people.

Thanks for the answer; I'm guessing from what you told me in the other 50. cal thread that it doesn't have match tolerances because of the requirement to withstand field conditions (water, dirt, etc.)?

Either way, it never ceases to catch my eye how the Europeans make such futuristic, "scary" looking rifles like the Swiss one you have, the DSR-1, the AI AS-50, my own Blaser ;), the Walther WA-2000, the PSG-1, etc etc etc whereas, over here, you'll generally see some match barrel with a custom action slapped into a McMillan...

In all honesty, I have to say that is the nicest looking 50 that seems to be on the market, love the lines.

if only i had another $14,950 laying around....

:D

Edit : I should have bought one yesterday when they were only $13K. :D
