The new 30 Rem AR cartridge

Well what is the general consensus on this latest 30cal round.

It fills that vital niche right between 7.62x39 and 308

They claim the following "123-grain projectile at 2800 ft/sec from a 24-inch test barrel."

Will it go the way of the 30TC or the 308Marlin? What is happening with the 6.8SPC? I thought this was the next best thing in AR cartridges (at least available commercially in Canada)

I understand from the article it was designed for use in AR rifles.

IMO 6.5 grendel is the most promising of all these new AR cartridges. It may not take off but it's as good as it gets if you ask me.

OK,is the .30rem.AR the same as the .30 Rem. that the 6.8SPC is made from? If so, why a new magazine? The 6.8SPC mag should work with .30 Rem. ammo.

Go the way of 30t/c and 308 Marlin? Both really new cartridges, kind of early to declare them dead.
