The X95 has a straighter pistol grip, it is much better for trigger reach and fast triggering. The charging handle is moved back so it won't interfere with light and laser mounting. Forward mounting charging handle is horrible ( like the ACR ) if there is a need to route cable and switches. For sports shooting it is not a big deal, but as a weapon I would rather have it mounted to the back or getting rear mounted T handles like the AR. Realistically, despite what a lot of people are teaching, the faster way to reload and ready a rifle is to activate the bolt catch!
The paddle mag release works rather well if you activate it with the shooting hand's back of thumb. I am not sure the standard IDF mag change drill but the X95 is definitely more intuitive for most. The X95 also got much better GL integration than the ad hoc M203 mount used on TAVOR.
Overall, I see no reason to buy a TAVOR if X95 becomes available. There is a reason the predecessor of X95 came out pretty much at the same time when TAVOR was entering into trial back in 05/06ish. The "TAVOR" micro as they called it back then was to address concerns raised by the more high speed operators in the IDF community. It also explains why TAVOR has a very short live in the IDF. TAVOR is based on the same idea people designed original AUG, SR-21 and even SA80 - one size fits all with proprietary optics and aiming modules. that idea was dead more than 10 years ago. The X95 was the response to bring the TAVOR family back to life.
