This afternoon went to le Ruisseau Noir again to shoot my brand new custom from Juan Valdez, my 6.5 Creedmoor... On hand two weight of factory ammo some 129 gr SST rated 2950 fps and some 120 gr GMX rated 3060 fps... 60 rounds of each will be enough to get the idea and will give me some cases to necksize only for my handloads...
Took it easy on the first 10 rounds, like wait 2 minutes between shot, as steady as she goes... Groups at the start were around MOA quite normal with an unsalted barrel. a quick patch down the barrel and we pickt up were we left... Groups started to shrink around 50 shots, after that it was back and forth .6-.7-.5 and so on... Recoil is just to small to mentionned, small enough that i can see my bullet hitting the paper, this is a great feature, the rifle is a perfectly built rifle, all details are flawless, the trigger is sweet as sugar, breaking a tad over 2.5 pounds, the Sightron 10X50X60 was up to mesure like usual, this will be a great combo for far away shot, cant wait to try it at 1K at my land... Very ...Very satisfied with my first custom, something tell me it wont be my last one.... Many thanks to Sean for a great rifle... JP. PS: The group in the video end up being a .6 MOA @ 100 yards using 120 gr GMX....

Factory ammo kind limit my grouping around half MOA, pretty sure to get in the low .2 with my rolled ones, i feel that my Creedmoor will easily equal my Nemesis performance... JP.

Hey Caramel

Looks good! I am looking foward to seeing your groups with some handloads and some development. I am mostly a 6.5x47L guy but I wish I had done a 6.5cm (or 6.5x47L) instead of the 260 I have.

The factory ammo for 6.5cm has a pretty good reputation (from what I read) for accuracy and I see that bearing out for you.

How hard is it to find brass? (other than buying factory loaded cartridges)

Getting on the reloading bench this morning, after checking the cases in the actual action for easy feeding, i will necksized them only, will go with 30 rounds with 139 gr Lapua Scenars and 30 rounds with 123 gr SMK, i will use H-4350, BR primers and load by increment for a good session of ladder testing, should give me an accuracy nod, will bring along some factory to zero @ 300 metres for a better ladder testing... JP.

For brass, i got a good deal for 160 rounds of 120 gr GMX and 160 rounds of 129 gr SST, got an order for 100 cases of Nosler cases but ETA should be around December, will have to work with Hornady, just check 60 rounds in the actual action for cycling and it's all good, will necksized only for in meantime... JP.
