The NEW KING of the 270 Calibers

They have to come up with new calibers so the cycle of buying and selling continues. Next they will add lime or maple scent so you try it and buy it.

Splitting the gap between 26 and 28. Reminds me of 25 Creedmoor why not just go 6 or 6.5?
25 and 27 caliber have such limited bullet selection.

Whatever happened to: 6.5x55, 270 Win, 308 Win, 30-06, 303 British, 348 Win, 9.3x62, 375 H&H

They've all been around for awhile, some over 100 yrs old. Did we just use them too much and they're all worn out?

Sorta reminds me of being a kid and having an Adult ask if my new shoes are going to "make me faster?".
I guess some folks never outgrow that stage. Have fun now...be back before dark!

I like the .277 bores. Another option or two seems okay to me. As for barrel burning worries, that concern really doesn’t hold water for me on a hunting rifle. Many hunters only shoot maybe 25 rounds per year, often less. So even if a rifle barrel really “only” lasts 1000 accurate rounds, it should be filling somebody’s freezer for about 40 years. Plenty of time to save up for a new barrel I think.
