Just received my Sept 2011 issue of Guns&Ammo - cover story is the value-conscious series of AR's from Mossberg. MSRP is touted be between 700-900 US$. Methinks this is a great step up for the mid-level AR platform and just might sway me away from the Norinco M4 (which I've been eyeing since it was released). I can't wait to grip one in my hands. :ar15:

IMO, the next step up from a Norc M4 is the soon to be released NEA AR platform. You get a lot extra for that ~$300 and it would be hard to justify the Mossy AR with a price point in between those two.

It seems like they are jumping on the AR bandwagon a little late in the game... IMO, they have really lost their edge as a quality firearm manufacturer and I can't see anything exciting about their AR.

Ever since they came out with this little gem, I've lost all confidence in Mossberg.

Breaching gun. Not sure why you would need to breach any doors...but hey, some people like to have options, right?

You've forgotten that a $900 US gun is something like $1500 Cdn.

Mossberg maybe its different, the american price for the 22 tactical is around $250 and in Canada we also pay $250 for the 22 tactical so we may get lucky, or is the fact its AR mean they will add extra?

Honestly, I'd probably buy one if I could get a chainsaw bayonet for it :p
