LOL, oh my, no. It's a NC Star 4x32 I got from GP Tactical. Seems like a decent little scope for the price and it fits really nice on that rail. Gary at GP Tactical said he's beaten a few of these around and they've stood up well. That's enough recommendation for me.
I'll have some pics ina couple of days...
I just took the exact same setup to the range. I was soooooooo stoked until all of these things happened to me:
1.) NC Star scope was soooo far off zero, took me about 50 rounds to get on the paper
2.) NC Star scope quick release mount was loose and the scope moved on the nc star mount - Tightened up the bolts with an allen wrench and one of them stripped.... Junk
3.) I finally got close to zero and then it was going all over the place again! WTF - realized that I never torqued the NEA butt stock adapter in that well and it came loose
4.) Got rained on like a mother F'er, all my guns, gear, ammo, were soaked
Frustrating day at the range, but still fun!
So question to you Steve-o
- Is the NCStar holding zero?
- Are you having problems with the screws holding the quick release mount to the scope?
Question to Charles Martel
Should I be lock tighting in the butt stock adapter? What torque do you recommend?
Eeeeeeeeeeek so excited to go try again
