The new SAUER 404 Synchro XTC is the newest flagship of the S 404 series. Its carbon fiber stock makes it the absolute lightest of all premium rifles. Carbon fiber - proven in aviation, space travel, motor sports and athletics - ensures that it tips the scales at less than 2.8 kilograms (6.1 lbs). The hand-layered carbon fiber stock, which is cast and sealed in synthetic resin, stands out both with its low weight and its extreme rigidity and recoil absorption. Thus is the SAUER 404 Synchro XTC the measure of all things.

It seems 9 of these beauties were obtained by MD Charlton in Canada.

Two have been taken by Omer at Precision Optics. One of them is already sold. I won't tell the price that he quoted me, but he did mention that these are / will be retailing in the range of 12k CAD.

I have no reason to doubt the information that he provided...

Just seen two of these this evening.
One in 300 winmag with muzzle brake and weighing in at 6pounds 9 ounces and the other the same in Winmag with iron site and a spare 308 barrel.
Some serious coin being spent today in Metro Vancouver.
Feels really nice and a sweet balance too, not whippy like my old 270 Remington...
Apples and orange in quality, but that Rem was a light gun.
Nice matte finish on this Sauer and the stock actually feels nice compared to the synthetics of the most other rifles.
I suppose it is the stock is actual carbon fiber and not some hybrid??

Just Curious. If there is a scope installed on the scope mount and you have to disassemble it to put it in the case, wouldn't it loose it's zero every time?

A top quality detachable scope mount will remedy this problem. Something like Ernst Apel mounts.
