That's about time for SpringField to introduced their new competition version of the XDM...I LIKE...and just in time for Christmas.

It's been out in the States for a good while now, sad it's not up here. I hear nothing but good things... although they will still swap out the trigger for a kit. They JUST released a .40S&W version about a month ago or so.

Good luck getting mags up here for 9mm. God knows I'm still waiting for them!
 
The new SpringField XDM competition reminds me of the Glock34 and 35, and is ###y looking...(just like me)LOL...and the XDM is the closest polymer 1911 pistol if you asked me, and I love the grip on the 1911.
 
I wrote to Springfield and they're not bringing it to Canada.

Here's what I wrote:
Hi, Looking to buy a XD-M 5.25 in 9mm in CANADA ! Who is the distributor or do you have a list of shops where I could buy one ? Is it available here yet ? Thanks !

No worries, some states in the U.S also restricted to high cap mags too...not just Canada, also high cap mag to 10rd is a easy fix...didn't they told you from their email said"

It's pretty hard to get XDm mags up here (at least in BC). Those beautifully large 19 round 9mm magazines have to be pinned before they cross the border. Most of the dealers I've spoken to said that their exporter wait until they have enough mag orders before sending them up... The .45ACP mags are way easier to get up here since they fit XD 45 frames.
 
It's a real shame that the XDm series isn't as readily available up here as say the GLOCK or M&P's. They truly are quite desirable looking pistols.
I would scoop one in a heart beat if they were available at my local shop and mags were a plenty.
 
Anyone been quoted a price on the 9mm?
I was told $1100 for the 45.

I like the feel of the XDM much better than the Glock by far.
The range will be the tale of the tape I guess.
