After much struggle, here it is.

I lost a lot of video but the shotgun stages were intact and a few others. I'll be sure to bring more memory cards with me next time to capture the event in it's entirety. Everyone more or less got equal face time, hell, my editing makes me look like a superstar...

It's my first video... In other words, shadap :)

It's still being processed right now so the options for higher resolution should be available whenever that is done.

For now, here it is:

Pretty cool, I like the door breaching, you never know when that skill may come in handy. It would be nice to include the sound of the firearms in the video too.

Thanks for all the comments.

I had to cut the audio from the clips because the camera was well back behind the action and was picking up alot of chatter amongst the Squad members.

It was kind of distracting from the video so I left it on the editing room floor.

great movie. I would have liked to hear the shots too but your explanation makes sence. perhaps for next time get a shotgun mic for your camera? they are pretty cheap and work great. depends on your camera but most middle to high ends cameras have the input for them... just somethin to think about. and dammit i'm still kicking my self for missing that match it looks like it was a blast! (pun intended)

Great video!

This needs to happen in more ranges around the province. Thanks to all who set that up in Spruce Grove.

Everyone's a critic :)

The funny thing about matches is that everyone hates waiting and everyone wants to get shooting.

I am greatful for the patience shown by all the members on our squad with me and my camera as everyone waited for me to set everything up.

This is my camera:

I mounted it on a tripod and went from tripod to monopod as there wasn't much room to maneuver on some stages. Adding a separate microphone is just gonna make things more cluttered and less streamlined. I was only making video's for fun (and because noone else is doing it)

Iiiiif you wanted to hear guns going off, I'd suggest you check the WRAS website and book off the match days in your schedule :p :)

lol it was just a suggestion was all. Glad you took the video so that it makes me even more jelouse lol. one of these days i'll come up and join ya all!

 No worries man, just givin' you a hard time :)

They are a riot these matches though. It's kind of hard to go back to static shooting when you get a taste of one of these events.

Part laziness and part greed of working ot whenever the firm wants me. But yeah its in the works right now for next season.

As my first post I'd like to say well done, the video (& editing) were great.

It's basically the reason I joined the forum, to find out more about shooting comp's like this.

Look forward to seeing more vids, and I'm getting courses schedules/paperwork together for both PAL's.

Cheers, John
