International Firearms Closeouts

When International Firearms in Quebec pulled out of the Canadian market in the late 1990's, they had a closeout sale. They sent me a wholesale sales flyer with all kinds of 'junk' listed at clearance prices.

I thought about buying some of the No.1 Mk.IIIs they had for $19.95 each, but the description said only 'Fair, cracked stock, no bayonet' so I passed. Dohh!

Anyone else remember $14 full wood #4 Enfields in big buckets in the sporting good section at the Eatons stores?
This would have been back in the Mid 70's. :(

No, I wasn't into Enfields in the 70's. But I remember unissued Longbranches with arsenal tags for $64.95 each at the Canadian Tire store in Fredericton back in the mid-80's.

So very many missed opportunities, but here's four

Not the last table but the first. Remington cane gun for $12. Wanted to see what else there was and the usual "by the time I got back to that table".

Webley Wilkinson a friend tried to sell me, A bit skint at the time but I should have made the effort.

P14T with the rear glass broken. Didn't realise I could have cannabalized the lens from a No52 I already had.

Not a gun, but a USMC marked 1880's heliograph with case. Again, I wanted to see what else was on offer.

Too soon ve gets old und too late ve gets schmart!

A French M1892 service revolver. I waited too long and it sold before I got to it. This was last month. I'm still kicking myself.

It was last year. :(

It was a Breda that bubba's 2 year old son or maybe retarded nephew had gotten his hands on. He had stained THE WHOLE GUN (metal bits n all) and generally ####ed it up. It was not one that got away, I would love to know how the new owner made out with it...

True, but it would probably have cleaned up well. It's hard finding $400 Garands these days.
