Ever hear of the Second Chance Bowling Pin Shoot? I shot that match 23 or 24 years in a row, until Life went on. Richard stopped the match, sold his sponsoring Second Chance Body Armor company, and retired. We gun folk missed that iconic match, where many friendships had been made. Richard’s son Matt Davis carried on the family tradition, creating the Armor Express brand that’s now one of the biggest in the body armor industry, and he and his dad have brought The Pin Shoot back! It will be in its traditional location, the family vacation land of Central Lake, Michigan, near Traverse City. Awards will be traditional, too: guns, guns, and more guns. Entry fee ain’t cheap, but the prize table is good, and deep. For info on what is now known simply as The Pin Shoot. Dates are June 9-16, 2017.

A total of 24 pin shoots were held from 1975 – 1998. Attendance reached its peak at about 500 registered shooters with over 200 guns given away as prizes. The rebirth of the Pin Shoot in 2017 will mark the 25th such event after the 18 year hiatus. More important than the competition and the prizes are the many lifelong friendships that will be formed.

I & my wife went there in 1987 , 1988 & 1989 . You where surrounded by gun / shooting
enthusiasts . Best competition I was ever in . Did well in winning several events & brought back many prize guns .
Each day they BBQ 'd either a whole cow or 3 pigs for those 500 shooters & families .
@ night the piro maniacs set off their fireworks . Richard set of Commercial stuff too .
One night there was 3 Full Auto's firing tracer ,,,,,,,,,, what a show.
Every day , guys with FA guns where firing almost all day !! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Great Time !!!

I have a picture with me & Massad Ayoob . I was presenting him with an award from a friend
near Toronto . Massad & my friend had a connection .

On 1 of those 3 times it was announced that the SUBWAY VIGELANTE from NY , NY had got off
one of his charges . The crowd went wild with jubilation . ,,,,,,,,,,,, Frank
 
Export cert from US is about $250us I think.
Plus whatever the ffl/exporter/importer will charge as fees
plus shipping
plus hst/gst
plus UN stamping fees if/when they become mandatory to bring a new gun into Canada
plus whatever I'm missing

Or, sell it to someone at the match for a nice discount vs retail and go have a nice dinner
