This past hunting season, I taught three new hunters to hunts succesfully. One of them shoot two deer. Two of the new hunters were women.

On the funny side, one of the new huntresses forgot to take the safety "off" when she had to shoot her first deer, and was very frustrated when her gun did not go "bang" :)

After the second huntress shoot her first deer, her non hunting husband told her that "he now was afraid of her, and wanted to sleep in a separate bedroom", which he did not :)

The lone male I had the pleasure of teaching to hunt, and married to one of the new huntresses, shoot two deer, and he cannot wait to get back and hunt again, and he wants to go on a spring turkey hunt :)

It was alot of fun to teach new hunter/huntresses :)

Although I call a female hunter a hunter, I would think that it would be fun to sleep with one after a kill:D

Congratualations on helping these first time hunters:D

I believe the political correct name for a female hunter is "huntress" ?

It's like the word "actor" for a male, and "actress" for a female ?

I guess me and my Webster's are at odds with what one may think of as political correct? As both words are correct definitions, I would think that hunter would be the more politically correct one as it does not discriminate between ###. Who cares? My point of my original post to you, was to express pleasure at seeing newbies introduced to hunting and to say that I find female hunters attractive. Now that last part might not be politicaly correct:D

Very nice! I cant wait till spring good friends of my family just bought their 12yr old boy his first pellet gun and have asked me to take him under my wing. We will be going out to learn the basics and he is very excited to join me on a Turkey hunt in the spring.

Congratulations! I also mentored two women and one girl hunter this year, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We're not done yet!
Today the two women joined my family for our traditional Boxing day rabbit hunt, and one made a great shot on a nice snowshoe hare. Between September and now we were fortunate to bag 2 whitetail deer, a few ducks, some geese, and now a rabbit. It's been a good fall.
I'd encourage everyone to do more mentoring. Delta Waterfowl has a sponsorship program that I and several friends of mine are involved in. It is well done and I Highly recommend it!
And for what it's worth, to me, they're all hunters - men and women, boys and girls. Just get out and do it!

After the new male hunter shoot his second deer, he confidently proclaimed:
"This is easy" :)

Both him and his wife have been fishing for years, and after seeing and learning how to gut out the deer, the new huntress came to the conclusion: "It's like cleaning a fish, just bigger" :)

These two new hunters also wanted to tan the hide, using the deers brain in this ancient process, and also found on the internet how to process, cut and pack the meat at home.

I found it very rewarding to mentor new hunters :)

Anyone feel like taking out another new hunter?!!!! I'm new to hunting, but have been around rifles since I was a kid. Getting a late start at 36 : (
