the powder shortage is over

You and your rich buddies gotta stop buying up all the powder so as those of use who can not afford to buy powder in bulk can buy a pound or two when we need it. I doubt you really need all this stock-piled powder and why rub it in our faces?

Rich? More like I spend my money wisely. I indulge in many things but I also keep a tight budget. I figure out what I am going to need for each year in reloading supplies and when the stuff comes around, I buy what I need for the year. Next thing you know, you and your buddies are gonna whine that I have 400 litres of bottled water in my basement.

I'm not rich but I just bought 5 pounds from Budget thanks to the heads up on this thread. All of it was powder types I've been looking for for over a year (IMR 4198, H335, H4350).

Just need to find R-15 and H-414 for now.

Didn't want to pay high shipping costs either. So I'm happy enough. :)

Even buying a little here and there I now have in my inventory...

You guys are doing pretty good. I've got:

BL-C(2) - 1/2 lb
Red Dot - 1/2 lb
700x - 1/2 lb
231 - 1/2 lb.

800 CCI Lg Rifle no 200

NO LARGE PISTOL PRIMERS
NO SMALL PISTOL PRIMERS

Just had to spend $700 on the car. It's going to be a slim shooting summer :S

I find it funny that some places as for info before selling powder or primers, while others simply hand it over as long as you pay. I'm not complaining either way.....but not sure what they accomplish by getting such info.

Every store I hit up keeps telling me that supplies are drying up and deliveries aren't coming in on time. Lucky for me, all I reload is shotgun shells and I shoot about as much in 10 years as some would in a month. I've managed to scrounge a couple different bits of powder that should last for many years.

I'm with the OP, I buy enough so that when I want it I have it. I've been through times where you couldn't get even a pound to play with....never again. If that's hoarding, so be it.

Since some people seem to have a problem with the freedoms we enjoy in this country I have made it my mission to stock up on the 3 powders I use most for reloading.
Yesterday I ordered 1x 8lb Varget and 1x 8lb IMR 4064 from one of my suppliers.
He doesn't know when he'll get it in so I purchased 2x 1lb Varget, 2x 1lb IMR 4064 to get my 1lb jug collection to 8 of each.
I also bought 1 500ct box of 168gr SMK's and 1 1,000ct box of FGMM 210M primers.

Today my goal is to order 48lbs of powder if I can find 16lbs of Varget, 16lbs of 4064 and 16lbs of XBR.

I guess I'll become a hoarder too.

Maybe I should double up on my primer supplies while I'm at it.
