I have two questions:
If SKS will be manufactured today in Europe, how much will be retail price ? (Suomi is almost 700$)
Still SKS will be a couple of years sold for this amazing price of under 200$ ?

i don't think Europe will ever manufacture SKS bcos they have too many to unload and some day when they are all gone, people will just have to settle for the early Chinese SKS, thus begins the clone conversions.

Thank for the math ,now I see the light.

well i wasn't intending to educate you, however your question was like asking someone to predict the future to a certain extent regarding how long the prices will last. i'm not sure how anyone could know that.....the price will remain as long as there are "surplus" rifles available i would suppose.

I don't see anyone making new SKS's again. Why would anyone do that? Current SKS's are cheap because there's a crap load of them around and no one is going to compete with that.

New production Sks would be a possibility IMO why ? Simple our friends down south they will not import the russian or the chinesse sks. But if the made a new production sks with some american parts they would probably sell down in the states.

We bought Russian SKS here at our LGS for $150.00 a copy on black friday. I would estimate that if they were to be produced today in any real numbers they would be sub $1000.00 each rifle.

If they were newly manufactured they'd sell for about the same as csa vz58, but a newly made sks wouldn't have to be made to such lose tolerenceses and might be just as good as the vz 58. Plus they could be redesigned to take detachable mags of some kind and not a half assed sks d conversion, it could have potential. Will it ever happend? Probably not. Why? Why exactly.
