Ever since Kimber introduced the Hunter line I’ve been lusting after one in 257 Roberts.
Well thanks to a small gun shop in the middle of SK (Salt Lake Guns) I can finally tick that box.

This Rifle is sweet!!, I put a Leupold Freedom 2-7 on it mounted in Talley Lows.
I’ve read very mixed reviews about the recent Kimbers in 257 Bob, but this one is showing serious promise.

First time out I only had a box of Factory Rem ammo. It shot that pretty much 1moa out the box.

100y (Left). 200y (Right)

Made it out the other day with some HL 117gr Hornady BTSP (Left) and Factory Hornady SST (Right)

I’ve had 2 other hunters prior to this. The Mag system is good IMO, I haven’t had any feeding issues and none of the tight loading issues that I’ve read other owners have. My only complaint with the mag, is the release tab is big and could potentially get pressed in thick brush. I actually filed a slight radius to the leading edge of the tab as it had a straight edge and a tendency to grab on things.

The build quality on this one is good, I still (as I do with all my new rifles) gave it a cycling session with some “Blue Magic” metal polish. So the action is like butter now.

Nyksta, Buy one, you won't regret it. One of the best rifles I've ever had. Only problem is that once I bought one, I realized how big and heavy all my other rifles were, so I sold most of them.......AND BOUGHT ANOTHER KIMBER!!!!

That's a good shooting Kimber.

I would like one in a Roberts.

About 4 years ago I had a NIB Montana in 257 and sold it without firing a shot.

Been kicking my butt ever since.

Kimbers can be addicting...I have 4 84M's

A Kimber will be my next Roberts rifle, you just can't have one or two or three without wanting a forth.
100V is showing promise with 115 gr. partitions in the Ruger 77 Ultralight.
