Just wanted to share a group that I produced the other evening in a 40 yard indoor rifle range.

410-22mag.jpg

There is 5 rounds of winchester 2 1/2" slugs and 4x 22 mag TNT rounds into this target. I am happy with the accuracy results of the 410 slugs. Those 22 mag shots were sight in shots and the group could have been tighter but what I really wanted to see is if the 410 barrel and the 22 mag barrel line up to hit the same point of impact. I was pleasantly surprised. This gun to me is a keeper and I am sure that 410 slug group could get better with different brands of ammo. I was using a mod choke since it seemed to give the best results so far. The 410 group measured 3 1/4" and makes it accurate enough for me to hit almost any sort of animal accurately up to around 50 yards.

This new model is a revival of inexpensive and light combination gun - concept of IZH-56 Belka which was produced by the end of '50s - early '60s. Owing to compact receiver and ribless barrel unit, IZH-94 has a reduced weight. This property makes it attractive for those who like long walking-tours.

The combination of gauges and calibres, including .410 (slug rounds), makes the gun most suitable for various hunts - from small to medium-size hoofed game. Single trigger double-action firing mechanism is equipped with a single hammer. Trigger unit has a tang-mounted barrel selector. Non-automatic safety button located at the rear of trigger guard locks the trigger. Open sighting device features a windage-adjustable rear sight and elevation-adjustable front sight. Provision to mount a scope.

FEATURES:
Rimfire Upper / Shotgun Lower
Barrel Selector on Tang
Hammer Forged Chrome Lined Barrel
Extractors
Single Trigger Design
Checkered Walnut Stock & Fore-End
11mm Scope Rail
Cross Bolt Safety
Machined Steel Receiver / Monoblock

My first impression is the machining is a little rough and there really isn't much of a crown on the 22 mag barrel. But the crown doesn't seem to affect accuracy at all. The 22 mag barrel seems a bit thinner then I would like and it almost sometimes feels like I will bend it by mistake. Of course it has never happened and the thinner barrel was produced to reduce the weight of the gun for easier packing in the bush. Remington/baikal produced and packaged a nice selection of chokes and would easily cover any hunting scenario. The trigger is fairly heavy but breaks clean and it doesn't seem to bother me while shooting. Fitting a scope was a bit of a challenge. The short 11mm rail makes it a little difficult but I found B-Square makes an awesome mount that allows full freedom of mounting a scope and is very solid. The gun cost me $400 and I think it is worth it. You cannot regulate the barrels like it's big brother but it looks like they took care of that already from the factory.
:D

Windage,

I think that is impressive performance from a lightweight hunter, both in terms of group size and the regulation of the two barrels. :)

A mildot scope is what I recommend if the barrels aren't regulated to your level of satisfaction. The mildot reticle allows for multiple aiming points.
You can also buy a 45 degree offset rail to maybe add a red dot beside your scope for slugs.
