I know, crappy picture but this movie isn't on dvd for whatever reason.
Definitely doesn't have a typical ak magazine, looks like the hinged sks magazine and the bolt looks like sks. Your thoughts?

did not see the movie. it does looks like Vietnamese army cloth so I would agree that it looks like SKS since Russian supplied those to Vietnam army

Looks like a some sort of blank firing adaptor on the muzzle.
And it is a SKS for sure.
China and NVA had their own stock of Sino Soviet SKS/Type-56.
