Cool pictures Curtton. The image clearly indicates the women were involved in picking the jersey for this team.

Bulgarians and to a lesser degree Hungarians are the newfies of Eastern Europe.:D

A Bulgarian walks into a television store and asks the clerk if the store carries colour televisions.
The clerk replies that indeed they do.
The Bulgarian asks for a red one.

Hey did anyone else notice the black "smudges" on the bayonets in the last pic....is that a lighting/shadow thing....or are those guys on parade with boot polish on their bayonets? Master Corporal/Sergeant would flip out if they were Canadian forces:D

Maybe they sharpened the bayonet and it rusted ;)..... just saying (reference to other thread)

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SKS

"Polish ksS: Refurbished Soviet rifles. Polish laminated stocks lack storage area in back of stock for cleaning kit. A few hundred SKS's were given to Poland by the Soviet Union around 1954, SKS rifles still in use in ceremonial units of the Polish Army, Air Force, Navy where they replaced AWT rifles. Honour guards of the Polish Police and Border Guard also use SKS rifles. SKS rifles were never adopted by combat units. In Polish service they are known as "ksS" which stands for karabin samopowtarzalny Simonowa, Simonov's semi-automatic rifle."

These are just re-stocked Russia SKS's. A bunch of stocks and handguards were imported a while back, and several made it to Canada - they are nice!
