What are the conditions of the SKSs from moving target? They were the most expensive ones it seemed out of all the dealers Across Canada. Do the conditions of the rifle warrant this extra premium?

Ok I ask this because I ordered one from them about a week and a half ago.
Apparantly I got the "Last one" they they told me they would ship it out the afternoon on the day I called them. So I called them on Wednesday to see if I could get some kind of tracking number and they told me they just shipped it out now. WTF?

Ok now Im scared. Is there something fishy? Am I right to be scared?

If I truely got the last one did I get the crappiest one out of the bunch. The 1 lone rifle that did not get picked because it could be pitted, bent like a limp noodle and wood that looks like it got chewed on by a starving beaver?

1. for me , it was worth the premium i paid cos i got very very very nice IZH imported SKS. bear in mind i got mine awhile ago. i dont know what you are going to get .

2. from my dealings with ed, he seam to be a straight shooter , there is nothing fishy about him , im sure there is a good explanation as to why your order was delayed a week and a half .

try not to get all worked up. wait till you receive it and then post some pics.

I'd be waiting till you got the rife before getting worked up... I'm wondering why you didn't know the condition, did you not ask when you were buying it??? If MovingTarget hand picked it's rifles, then the first & the last, should all be the same, excellent...

Cheers
Jay

no worries. wait until it arrives and you see it. Ed is a straight up guy. Stores are free to charge what they want. for my money, the premium was worth it. We are talking about a $300 gun here remember, not a $3000 one.

Ed's a straight up guy and my brother and I both received pieces from him. The quality was "top notch" and he was very easy to deal with, before, during and after the sale.

It's never prudent to get worked up over something that hasn't happened yet and will likely not happen; like "what if space aliens kidnap me"?

I picked up a couple-few TULAs from Moving Target around the start of April. Very nice rifles and no problems dealing with Ed. I had originally ordered refurbs as they didn't have any unissued ones in stock, but they called me back the next day and it turned out he was able to find me some that were unissued, so I picked them up.

On another note, just to point out how legit and good to deal with Moving Target is, I called them up a week back to order a Yugo M48 and not having any more in stock, he even directed me to the competition and even provided the phone number.

I will definitely buy from Moving Target again.

Sending someone to the competition because you don't have what they want ... damn, haven't seen that in a long while. Good to see there are still places out there (few) that still take the customers needs as numero uno, and are willing to lose 1 sale so the customer can get what he needs (wants in most of our cases LOL). Lose one yeah, but gain how many later on because of it. well I know where my next toys gonna come from.

geeze, this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I ordered a rifle from Ed at Moving target (first time customer) and it wasn't exactly what I wanted (because of some confusion on my end). We discussed it a little by email and he not only took the rifle back but sold me a mint one from his own collection. I have never experienced such awesome customer service like I did from Ed.

this also happened to me with another store with great customer service ... daves surplus , they even call the other store a mile away to check for availabilty and then had the item held for me .

I wouldn't worry, I picked up 4 when he first got the order, it was difficult to choose as they were all in great condition. I even got one of his 3 laminate stocked ones.
