somehow the picture of the huge buck doesn't show up
There are no big bucks left in NB.

Since the draw on antlerless deer started, there are nothing but does in the wood these days.

yep, 3 wolves a year, just need a hunting license, no species tag

foxes, AFAIK, only able to shoot them if you have a trapping license, and either on private land or your trap line...I think

In the BC hunting regs, It seems that foxes fall under small game and are legal to shoot. However, If you are shooting them to profit from their pelt, then it is not legal because you need a trapping licence and royalties must be paid. I may have misunderstood the regulations but that is what I get out of it.

NO they (foxes) are Not Legal to shoot.
Unless........you are a Licensed Trapper, then they are treated as a Class 1 animal and can be taken with a firearm on your Trapline.
Noone but a Trapper may kill them.....even as a Pest on Private Property they are protected;)

We clobbered a fox right in the yard of the detachment last night with the ENR officer. Created a bit of a stir among the locals for a little while.:runaway: Apparently there's concern about them chasing kids and dogs in town so we're on a jihad.:dancingbanana:

Don't feel bad Paul. On the opener for Elk here I sat out in the back field with rifle in hand. Throughout the day I counted over 60 whitetails on our home quarter alone. In broad daylight, an hour and a half before legal light out came three bucks, all nice, one four point about mid 140 class and a 160ish 5x4. They walked to within 80 yards of me and grazed in the field until I left!
Dad turned the cows out in the field the next day and my count has dropped to 20 deer and no bucks! The joys of hunting farm land...:(

I can't believe you aren't hauling your super 30 around showing it to everyone you meet!:D :p That should work on those deer real nice like.:)

I've had exactly four days off in the last 6 weeks and was sick for two of those days, another was a Sunday and the fourth I got to hunt.

I'm off next week. Gonna try out the Super 30 then, but the 257R will be the main gun this year.

Noel ..... If you need a meatcutter to help with all those deer, let me know..... BTW, the rifle comes too. :D
