The VCOG!

MSRP is $2250. Personally I think its a let down. Trijicon is known for their fibre optic illuminated reticles and this thing fails to deliver. There's no tritium illumination either. The reticle selection sucks and the integral base really limits ones mounting options. A 1-6 with fibre optic and battery backup utilizing the ACOG reticle lineup would have been a better choice.

Wow, $2250? I didn't notice the integral mount before, that is limiting. Just doesn't seem worth the money. I figured with what it had to offer (or lack thereof) it would have been cheaper.

Ouch!

If they "revolutionized" the price down to 1k or less, then the excitement (and possible purchasing) level would be there. Absolutely nothing special about this offering.

I gotta say I'm pretty disappointed in Trijicon over this "thing". As has already been mentioned there are no new features that aren't out there on much lower priced optics. No tritium, no fibre, WTF!? Isn't that what made Trijicon what they are today? Not impressed. Definitely not 2 grand impressed.

In order to be disappointed by this, I would have had to be surprised.

Trijicon lost the plot completely about three years ago, so when I heard "Big news from Trijicon!" a couple of weeks ago, my guess was "fatally flawed 1-6". When I read the press release I was like...YUP.

If the price was down around $1200, and the reticle choices better, then they'd have the same situation as they could have had if they'd put a proper reticle in the 1-4: overwhelming success and immediate backlogs as everyone in the western world ordered one.

I really don't understand who's running the show over there.
