Have it on DVD, it's rated as one of the best war movies. I like it.

one thing struck me as off right away was that in mid November in Finnland there was no snow or ice. It seemed like a September day in more southern lattitudes?

Well worth the watch and very interesting to me. I worked with a man back in the late 70's early 80s for 7 yrs without knowing until his funeral ology that he was a Finnish-Russian war vet. He never spoke of it but was the most solemn ,non smiling man I ever knew.
