 I finally got around to mounting my aimpoint knockoff on my Russian anti-zombie gun

30 slugs latter... it's still holding on!

Mike :D

I'd hate to be a zombie
I read though, that a machete or axe makes for a better wpn as it makes less noise
and won't attract the attention of the other hungry zombies.....its just what I read :?
Personally my 1st choice wpn would be a 12g shotty too
By the way,nice shotty :!:

Yer using one of those aimpoints on a SHOTGUN and its holding up?

Is it really keeping a zero?

Nifty shotgun....thats one of those backward pumping-mag on the top things, eh?

Backward! What do you mean backward?
Do you mean that push-pull action or the loading from the top...

I haven't had the chance to shot it again this week... but after a few rounds sighting in, it was keeping the shots inside the black of an 20y NRA time/rapid pistol target.

The only problem I had was that I didn't check how tight the mount was prior to starting shooting... so I now have 1/4" of dragging ring mark on the scope... ho well!

In another few weeks, I should have reached the 100rds mark with the new scope, by then I should have a better idea on how well it's holding up. If it wanders too much, I'll have to switch over to buckshots...

Mike.

Wow, cool. Tula make some interesting stuff. What's with that 3 barrel? Or the revolver?
I've seen some weird stuff, historically speaking, but didn't expect to see a modern manufacturer still making them.
Hey, Mike - I like the colour - Zombie green!

Rys.... Die zombies, die!

My friend, big fan of this shotgun, is actually about to mount a bayonet on it.... Don't ask me why, he just want to... Anyway, he is some cool pictures of the same gun (3 models):

Now, using our simple arms let's make some "kool" modification of Rys with long barrel and two Rys-Ks:

Interesting? Let's mix and match:

Ah ha! Valeri kept telling me about this crazy guy who painted his Rys green. Now I finally know who it is!

Too bad he closed shop, now I can,t get a Rys (got a Baikal instead).

He told me you were the president of a shooting club or organization, can you tell me which one? He told me you liked shooting clays with your Rys and that you were good with it. I wouldn't mind witnessing that:)

P.S. What is the make and model of your Aimpoint knock-off?

I've been involved with the "Fédération Québécoise de Tir" for a few years... I figure after #####ing and complaining about the FQT, the least I could do is work with them to improve things

I have yet to take my RYS trap shooting... Cylinder choke is not really the best thing to use. But I did blast quite a few box of bird shots trying to gum it up and get it to fail... I only got a sore shoulder out of that experience. Now I only shoot slugs. I must have blasted over a 1000's without any trouble.

I'm still trying to locate some factory choke tube... But it's not looking good. I might have to get the barrel treaded for regular choke.

guess_kto,
You friend as great taste... I've also been thinking about a bayonet :D It would be perfect to hold the zombie in place before you blast them to pieces...

When I first wrote them, I got a color brochure. I'll see if I can find it and scan it to a PDF... in case anybody is interested.

Mike.

I am!

Doesn't the old Winchester military pump gun have a mount for a bayonet?

I can't remember the model. I think they used them in WWI.

Winchester model 1897 trenchgun. Norinco makes a knockoff, Marstar sells it. I've got the regular Norinco 1897 (newest toy) without the bayonet lug and heatshield. I've put maybe 30 or 40 shells through so far. No malfunctions yet, but it's still early.
