does any one know what the price was? Sure looked like a nice shooter or hunting rifle.

edit* if you now go on mitchells mausers website, they have the 98k's as sold out and the reason why.

This is what is said "No More NAZI Mauser Rifles ?!!?
How can that be? Didn’t Hitler make Millions of Mausers?
Unfortunately, it is true — NAZI Mausers are sold out world wide. Hitler’s NAZI’s were defeated seventy years ago; and the Iron Curtain fell twenty-five years ago. Since then astute collectors have taken most all of the NAZI-marked rifles that had been stored in the old Soviet warehouses.

More recently, the Russia-Ukraine conflict cut us off from the last few NAZI rifles in Russia. There are simply no NAZI rifles available – anywhere."

so they finally tell the truth now that they are Russian Captured. Now the theory is ture about them for those who did not believe.

It was just over $900

Very nice looking rifles but were they just refurbished recently by Mitchell and have lost some of their historical value?

I'd still rather have a decent Yugo or RC over a humped up Mitchell.... But that's what the kids want these days, purdy rifles.... History doesn't matter.

Hi,

Looking at some replies to this thread I'm amazed most members don't already know the story behind Mitchell's Mausers.

These are simply russian capture K98's that mitchell did some cheesy restoration work on to look pretty.

He's been selling these for years as 'original' and there's always a long line of people who don't know better ready to buy them.

I personally would never support Mitchell's Mausers in anyway, a complete scam.

Regards,
-Steve
