What do you guys think about the k98 that Bubba got fancy with (besides it being a bloody abortion!!!)?
I was thinking if it was salvageable for parts at least. I can't tell if the stock was cut to put the recoil pad on or not. The barrel would have to be replace, but the rifle would make a nice sniper clone.

The stock has some nice sling swivel holes in it now, even if it hasn't been shortened. Almost looks like the grip was shaped a bit too, could be wrong on that, maybe it's just the photo. I wouldn't pay that much for what salvageable parts are left. I say the value in it lies in what it is now, for whoever would be interested in that sort of thing. There are also lots of much nicer sniper clones out there that have been drilled and tapped. Just my two cents for what it's worth.

The stock is toast aka reshaped near the sling slot. Shame too, looked like a nice gun at one point.

There are always parts to salvage. Problem is then you end up with a barrel and receiver, with which you can do very little. It all depends how badly you need parts I suppose.

I've done the same with G43's. Ended up with a barreled receiver I had no use for what so ever...

Even if you could chisel the guy down to $300 its not worth the parts. Just wanted to know what you guys thought. Thanks
