Hey fellow GN's new to the site, I have heard many good things about the forums although still trying to navigate them all. I was informed of this site by a Glock dealer out of New York, thats the type of rep CGN has which is great.

Yea I did read the faq's but I thought I would have instant access once I joined the group membership for the EE. From reading other forums I realize it may take a couple days. A little anxious aint I!

Anyway thanks, its nice to see a veteran of the site take the time to welcome me.
 
The moderators for the EE are a little swamped, I think. Access used to take only a few days at most, but since these guys are unpaid volunteers, we need to cut them a little slack. :)

Don't sling poo, start dumb threads, or ask questions that have been answered a BILLION times, and you'll fit in juuuuust fine. :)

I also find people are more receptive to newbies if they display their location in thier profile - makes things a little more personable than a random faceless handle. Not required, but sure helps when people are answering your questions.
 
I just updated the profile.

So far I love the site. I'm not the type to start slinging the doo-doo or wasting peoples time, I appreciate the heads up, hopefully this will be a good way to make new contacts.
and find new toys.

There are some wannabe mods on the board.......a few (not many) are a lot like the "range nazis" you'll encounter at the club from time to time.

The real moderators are conspicuous by the wording & blueness of their handles.....those are the ones you pay attention to.

You're allowed to disagree with popular opinions as long as your posts are within the parameters set out in the forum rules......if they're not the mods will be soon be on your case with infractions & a swift digital boot out the door if the infraction is serious enough.

Remember that CGN is a discussion board & speech is relatively free as long as you obey the rules.......don't let the "flamers" intimidate you.
 
I belong to Windsor Action Pistal, although I plan on hitting one of the IDPA matches at Cloverleaf once I get my feet wet, I also hear that Kingsville is trying to setup some IDPA as well.

Being a Chatham guy you must be into Cowboy Action I hear that is popular in your neck of the woods.

Wartners always seems to have a few single actions for sale.

No I havn't shot a match yet, I shoot with 3 brothers we are all just getting holster qualified then we'll shoot a match together once we all do the qualifier that way we can make fun of each other and not feel like the only newbies at the match. We missed the last match in Windsor because we were at the Toronto Sportsman Show(waste of time). I'm sure we will cross paths my Last name is Irvine.
