hi all,can anyone tell me what the law(s)are on these thermal scopes being advertised,,is it legal to mount them and use them during the day to shoot at targets,i know not after the sun goes down,i am just wondering in daylight, thanks

Lots of good but extremely expensive ones out there.

www.milsig.ca is a supplier that has ITAR and other next-to-impossible to get business licenses for items that are normally BANNED for export outside of the U.S. and one of the few reliable suppliers you can find in Canada that have access to a wide selection of such equipment. Between them and tactical imports (one of our sponsors, in fact)? Those two suppliers should pretty much have you covered :)

errrrr.... they sell airsoft stuff.

You can use a generation NV or thermal optic at any time of the day. There are no laws or regulations governing their usage in Canada, in connection with any activity, at this time.

However you must abide by all shooting laws/regulations, such as no shooting 1 hour before sunrise or 1 hour after sunset. Some provincial regulations use the word "hunting" in the place of "shooting" with respect to that statement.

There are absolutely no restrictions on mounting them on a rifle and shooting during the day.

I have quite a few of the Pulsar thermal units out and about, with overwhelmingly positive feedback and results:
