It's been a late start this year for the bears. My usual area is about 3 weeks behind so far, and the vegetation is still nowhere near what it was last year.

I have only seen a couple small bears on the coast so fare but haven't bin out looking or hunting yet still working on my boat

Had a Glimpse of one last weekend while driving up to Kamloops...
Not a big one , but one none the less...
How far and what scope power was this pic shot with?
Had to look three times to see the Bear and the cross hairs drew me to the center of the sight picture.

This was about 60y, scope was set on 3x.

I stumbled on this one at about 150y, I was walking a spur road and noticed the alders bashing around. I slowly closed the gap to about 60y then just sat and watched for a bit (checking for cub).

I decided to not take a shot due to the thick brush behind and straight down bank on the other side of the road. If the perfect shot presented itself, then i would probably have reconsidered.

Sometimes it's neat to just get close and observe.

Stalked a big lad this week and got in to 10 yards... he was still feeding on cambium, which puts us about 10 days or so behind schedule.
