I usually load Win or Fed brass in a 7 rem mag .I loaded 6 Sako brass as they had similar case capacities as the former and I wasn't running MAX loads. Loaded the Fed necks were .310" dia well the Sako is .315" and won't chamber. I'm not fiddling the neck reaming so I'll pull and insert in Fed brass. All was well within specs for all. Something I hadn't considered before. Don't matter hunting season is over.

Pulled the bullets .....saved the powder and scrapped the primers. the Sako pockets were so tight that you could finger seat the recovered primers in Fed brass. Flattened brass with hammer. NFG

That is interesting! I ave several boxes of SAKO brass in 30-06 and it is almost Identical to the R-P
brass I have. Even the necks are so close you would need a Vernier micrometer to measure the
difference. Dave.

Maybe it's just the 7 mm Rem mag brass? It was range pickup so I'm out nothing but time and a few primers. I have about 150 Sako .308 win brass hopefully it's not scrap?
