well my night was sucking big time as both my little guys are sick...

so here is what im up to

I couldnt get my hands on a black Roni kit, so i opted for the DT instead...
I like it, but i just dont love it...
so im giving it a dye job!!! i
i read about guys using clothing dye to change thier Magpul FDE (when they cant buy black stuff, so im giving this a shot...i will update over the course of the evening with pics...i will take better pics when i have more time

i put a tango down FG and an AR15 stock in the picture to show the match.

I hope you used Rit dye. It seems to stick the best to that kind of stuff. It is what I use to change the color of the parts on my rc cars.

finished product...

all in all, it took me about an hour and a half from breakdown to rebuild.
i did a scratch test on the inside and the dye set well over 1/16th of an inch into the plastic, i can scratch bump and drop it without it showing any desert tan.

now, i love it

Yea the all black looks MUCH better IMO for sure, I would have done same thing.

questar has them. Make sure you get the right one. I got one for the G17 but I use a G22. Slide is a little bit bigger on the 22 so it jams alot.
