well today i got my norinco cq311. thanks fab sports. also would like to thank every one the replied to my internet harassment. havent fired it yet, but would like to comment on a few things, just in case some one is thinking on purchasing one. overal i think its ok, it aint a colt. but i think very good quality for the money. not as good a deal as the m14 or 1911. finish sucks looks like spray paint, rear sight doesn't work. changed the pistol grip and butt with gi m16a1, just a matter off a switch. i think if the but was a2 (longer) you would need the adapter. btw the gi stuff fit tight, at one point i didn't think i would get the butt on. but with a few 4 letter words and a few jap slaps it went down. i did intend to change the hand gaurds with the vietnam triangle type, but the rilfe is configured to a round hand gaurd. so i gotta search for a a1 hand gaurd cap. over all i think it is ok, will change out parts to gi as i go along, but over all i don't think it is needed. now i've got it into my head to get another to build a cheap car. any suggestions, thoughts or comments would be welcome.
