Hi All,
I am looking for some points of view regarding a decent O/U Trap Gun with a single trigger. I recently started trying my hand at trap shooting and I am not very good at it. I use a Beretta 390ST which I have had for a few years but I am looking to maybe add a gun to try to improve my # of hits. I would like a O/U, single trigger, interchangeable chokes, not too heavy (I am only short) possibly 28" or max 30" barrels. I am happy to buy a used gun in good condition. What do you suggest?

Before you buy anything, try everything you can lay your hands on. Determine your budget after you find what you like. Used can be good value, as long as you don't buy something that is worn out. Inexpensive guns are not good value, if you are going to shoot a significant number of shells ... they won't stand up to high usage.

I picked up a like new Browning Citori (hunter) O/U for trap years ago. I got it for a really good price because it was a older gun with fixed full & modified chokes. I do fine against the guys with the really expensive trap guns. Mind you, I shoot for fun a not for glory.

I think Stonehorse has a very good point.

I have a nice Beretta with screw in choke tubes. I put a full choke in one pipe, and a light modified in the other a year ago. I haven't touched either one since:p.

X2 on trying other guns at the clubs. I think most would allow you to try out their guns to get a feel for what fits you best.
