I may have the opportunity to own a sweet NR ACR, however, I did a quick google search and saw that the DLASK barrels basically use an AR barrel and they are severely overgassed. Some people say if you run it on S mode it functions fine though

Can some people who have them or knowledgeable on the subject shine some light on this?

Do they function fine on S mode or does that make it unergassed and cause feed and function problems?

I think that you would be better served by an Arms East import, which at least has the correct Gas Port size. Unless you are getting a smoking good deal....

The gun is fairly cheap, that is why I am considering it even after reading that you need to fire it on "S" mode because of the gas port being largely oversized. Otherwise I wouldn't even consider it.

If it works find in "S" I don't see a problem with it though. Can anyone with experience comment if it works fine in "S" mode or is there still stoppages due to the gas pressure not being correct?

I may also have a chance to get a Benelli MR1, maybe that would be a better option than a Dlask ACR?

This was 100% the case for mine with the Dlask barrel. Ran great on "S".

Thanks for sharing! I may just take a chance on it. How would you otherwise rate the rifle? Is it a fun rifle, good ergonomics, accurate, reliable, etc?

I've had a few over the years, and would probably say they're one of my favorite rifles. I'm down to a single restricted one at present, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another NR again. Ask Dilligaf for his opinion - he trained a lot with his, though his wasn't a Dlask conversion.
