So I'm looking to buy a new shotgun soon and have been leaning towards getting a 12 gauge PA-08, most likely with a wood stock as I prefer the look of wood. I haven't seen a whole lot of buyer reviews for them online, but the one's I've seen have been positive. Do any of you have experience with this shotgun? If so, what did you think of it?

BTW I would be using it mostly for recreational clay shooting, as well as for duck and goose hunting.

I have one. Traded a Stoeger P-350 for it and it's a way nicer gun (for me anyways). Mine is the synthetic stock model. I'd say for the price range it's in, it's probably your best bet buying new. Of course, with shotguns fit is everything. If it fits, I'd say go for it! I shot about a case through it of everything from 7/8oz to 1 1/4oz without any problems.

Here's a "review" I posted

Thanks for the response, glad to hear that it's working well for you.

I was originally planning to get an 870 Wingmaster, but I've since spent a couple hundred dollars on an SKS so I figured it would be smarter to get a decent shotgun for a little cheaper. I know that the Mossberg 500s are reliable and a bit cheaper yet than the PA-08s, but I would prefer something with a trigger guard safety.

I have a 500 as well. You can't deny the track record of the 500, but I don't think you could wrong with either choice...though some people don't like the "rattling" of the pump on the 500.

With a PA-08 (if you go that way), the action may seem stiff at the beginning, but it smooths up in about 100 rounds.

I was in Winnipeg on Friday looking for a PA-08, neither Cabela's or Wholesale Sports had a 12 gauge with a wood stock. This shotgun seems to be more difficult to find than I figured it would be, I might have to order one from somebody. Kind of disappointing though, I was really hoping to be heading home with a new shotgun on Friday night. :(
