Thinking of selling my rifle

I have a remington 700 SS 5R in a black AICS (non folding version) stock. The scope is a Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x. I'm thinking about selling the set up. I have a preference for semi's and am thinking about getting a Norinco M14.

Would it be reasonable to ask $1600 for the rilfe/stock and $700 for the scope, all with shipping included?
 
Unless you hit on the right buyer, you don't get those prices, used scopes don't bring what you think either....IMHO
 
x2 sorry to say but thats a bit high, one of the larger chain stores has the same scope new for just a few bucks more...

but if u feel like rethinking the price lower pm me :p lol
 
Hmmm, i bought the scope for 900. Its sells new for $850 now. I thought $700 was reasonable. I guess $600 might be better then?

What about the AICS stock? That sells new for about $1050. Is $800 not reasonable for that component? For the rifle, I sold the original stock for $250, so I don't mind selling it for less, say $700?

Would this be more reasonable?

Some Dealers are selling the 4.5-30 6500s for $750 to $800 new. As soon as the scope leaves the store ,the price drops, and it drops again, as soon as you mount it. Even $600 is no great deal for the scope, but it might sell at that if it is in perfect condition.
 
Put it in the EE for what you want, if you get a offer that you think is to low then pass on it. If your rifle is still there in two months then maybe your way out in left feild as to what people are willing to pay for it. Seams the 5R is somewhat of the flavor might now so due to availablity you might get what you want for it, if store shelves are full then most will throw down the few hundred to make up the differance and get new, not to say your won't go but if its taken more then two or three weeks you might be to high......
