Thinking of trading a XD 9mm for a Glock 19

Im thinking of trading or selling my XD 9mm Tactical, I don't see alot of people with these around at the range.

Is there much of a market for XD s these days?

I know there is always a market for Glock, thats part of the reason im thinking of selling the XD.


Are the Glock 19s a lot harder to shoot over a Glock 17?
 
Go look at the "I hate my Glock" thread before you drink the Glock Kool Aid! Don't change a gun just because they are not common in your area. If you are worried about resale value, you will lose twice: once selling the Springfield, second selling the Glock. Sell or trade for another reason other than rarity.
I have no problem shooting both the 17 and 19. Esp. the Gen 3 and 4s. The 19 may be harder to grip if you have big hands.
 
Shouldn't be hard to borrow a glock at any pistol range. Not like you're trying to borrow a Colt Python.
 
I agree with the others, the XDM is a sweet pistol, far superior to Glock. I had a Glock 17 Gen 4. It had a horrible trigger. It by no means is anything remotely akin to a target pistol. I sold it happily.

I have shot a golck 17 some, my buddy has one. I didn't mind the trigger. I would say equally as good as the xd but different... Every new gun takes a little getting used to i think.

*just to clarify, i have an XD not the XDM


I really want something differnt but I dont have any "new" money to spend thats why I was thinking of selling the XD. Idealy I would never sell any guns and just buy more.
 
I wouldn't ask if you should ever sell a gun. Unless your kid is sick with cancer and you need all the money you can get, most here would say to just save up and buy another. So, I won't tell you what to do. What I will tell you is that if you sell that XD in the EE, it probably won't last very long, and you'll see that just because they're not common at your range, doesn't mean that there isn't a healthy fanbase.
 
ya you are probably right. I helped my dad sell a gun on the EE and I was very surprised how fast it sold.

Who new the market was hot for a Merkel SxS. Should have asked more for it I guess.
