So my father in law has been helping thin the gopher population out at a fellas acreage that has horses. He asked me the other day if i would like to tag along. I said " Sure, i even have an airgun i got off Gunnutz about 5 years ago i have looked at once and never fired." I pulled it out of the locker and its a Norica Marvic. I couldn't even remember what kind of gun it was or what it even looked liked as i only looked at it once since buying it from a member here over 5 years ago like i said. Anyways just got back and after an hour and a half and poppin 31 gophers and a magpie, i am very very impressed with both the power and accuracy of this unit. I can see how airgunning could get addictive.:D

It's like reliving your childhood.I wandered our farm as a kid and learned to stalk game with a $20 Hungarian Telly .177 pelletgun from Ukranian Tire.I recently rebuilt the seal and swapped the mainspring and it's good for another $40 years............It's a blast.................harold

Yeah! Same here. I relive my days as a youngster going out in the nearby forsest with my buddies who also carried either Slavias or the Hungarian springers.

Today, I have a Crosman Quest 1000 that I really enjoy. It has loads of power that we could have never dreamed of back then. It's great fun!

I never dreamed that this airgun could be so powerful and accurate. Not sure how long the cheap Bushnell Sharpshooter 4x32 will last though.

Hey, that was my old airgun. Glad to see she still kills 'em gophers good n dead like she did for me!!
I got laughed at the 1st time I took it out gopher hunting when everyone else had their 22's. They soon changed their attitudes when they saw how much it kept up to their shooting skills.
Right on, good to hear she's still in action,

Their awesome, the Brits been having fun for a while with these fine guns, the HW , Diana, BSA,and Webley's are all tack drivers, and lots of power for small game.

Hey folks , save those old flags, they make excellent wind flags for rimfire , and airgunning. Just need to cut 'em, I cut one foot wide at the pole side, and taper to the end, works great. Any stake 4 or 5 feet and your set....;)

It's a great bang for the dollar rifle and has loads of power and pretty accurate. Scopes haven't worked well for me up to now. The hinge has plastric washers and therefore moves a little which means the scope doesn't always look where the barrel is pointing. But with iron sights it's just fine since they are on the barrel. I have put metal washers at he hinge as a replacement but now I am thiniking that the big game scope I am using parralex adjusted to 100 yards may be causing parralex issues and therefore causing my shots with scope to be a little inconsistant. A scope with a close up parralex adjustment ring should prove to be better, but I haven't tried that yet.

Overall, it has been a great rifle for me.

Air rifle rated scopes will stand up to the springer's 'reverse' recoil. Regular scopes won't.
