This has been bugging me for a while

Could someone with access to a Norc 1911 and an original Colt GI mike the grip frames on both? I swear the Norc grip feels slightly wider and possibly longer - it might just be the grips I've got, but I'd like to know for sure.

There are always "some" differences in manufacturers frames, but only to the issue of a few thousandths - biggest difference is placement of grip bushings - old 1911's are 50 thou closer together than A1s and later. Never had to worry much in doing target grips for them.

nope... I've checked my pistols, both have same frame dim Nork 1911A1 and Colt 1911A1 -maybe your grips are diff ...you have to check again
