This is how I opened my can of 7.62x39

This is how I got mine open. Chinese milsurp 7.62x39mm. Seemed to work pretty good. I haven't seen any videos with this style yet so decided I would video my first attempt. In heinsight wondering if this can rolls too like the sticky in this thread. Although I don't see how you could roll such a big handle.

You are lucky you didn't cut your you know what off during the process. Technically speaking you are to use your bayonet!! But, for a good approximation of how this worked in real life battle see the movie Zulu and the short piece about how the supply corporal dished out ammunition in the heat of battle.

I had to use a Dremel with a cutoff wheel on one of mine. Don't go too deep!

I am pretty sure the chinese military does not employ a soldier with a hammer and a screw driver to open these cans.
I think there might be a tool for this.
What do you guys think?

Reminds me of the guys who have never opened a can of spam and get a spam can of norinco. After an hour of frustration the young guy asks hs dad for help. Dad walks over, takes the key off the top of the crate and opens the can in less than a min.
So silly.

Lol. I should post the first 20 min of the video. I was standing on that thing pulling on the handle with everything I had to no avail. It would not budge. Pulling on the handle wasn't working so I thought I would crack the seam help it out a bit
