You need a 260,7-08 and a 358 win to fill in the gaps:D Looks good anyway

I know. I've always liked the 7mm-08, and 6.5's. I don't know why, but everytime I see one of the new Sako 85 rifles, I have to touch it. I just was on their website and looking at what cartridges it's chambered in. I admit the .260 in a stainless/synthetic 85 is interesting. I would have to ditch the 6.5x55 first though, as well as a few other items. :(

What is rifle is your 6.5x55,I have one in a LR 61 Sako deluxe still has the edge on the 260.My son has a 260 and my 6.5x55 will get 100 to 150 fps better with heavy bullets.Shoots better also.

I need a 260, 7-08, and a .338 Federal to fill in some of the gaps in my cartridge collection.

Would be easy to buy them off someone if it wasn't for the dangerous handling fees that Canada post charges. :(

Is a cartridge collection really a true cartridge collection if the cartridges don't have all the components in?

Maybe I'll have to start a seperate thread on this. And a poll. ;)

Before you get too excited about the Sako 85, just take the barreled action out of the stock and check out the so called "recoil lug" an integral part of accuracy. It's nearly non-existent.
