You would be incorrect. It is not illegal to shoot at night at a range. Most trap and skeet clubs have lights for night shooting and at major events such as The Grand and satellite Grand shoots with large numbers of shooters most shoot-offs to determine winners are held at night under the floodlights in front of the grandstands. I've shot at night often over the years and it was alot of fun. You get an entirely different perspective with just black sky and no background. We used to throw white targets at night. It looked like something from star wars when you nailed the target and there was a white dust cloud with dozens of little white pieces shooting off in all directions!
Oh great.... now you have me looking on Amazon for glow in the dark paint and UV lights. I'll have to look into the rules to see if our range allows night shooting? (When we buy a range membership they just e-mail us a combo for the gate lock, so it's a use when you want type place but I'm not sure if there is "hours" to it technically)
