This may amuse you.........:p

Thanks alpining. I take it that steel core ammo isn't allowed? The only centre fire rifle I have with enough ammo is the SKS with milsurp. Don't have any 9mm ammo or time to grab some. Got plenty of shotgun ammo in both 7.5 shot and slugs.

I may try to make it out another time.

The SKS will work just fine with the milsurp ammo, as we normally use paper/cardboard targets for the rifles. We do tend to use steel knockdown targets for the shotgun portion (leave the slugs at home), but the pistol shoot could be either paper targets or steel plates (which we prefer the shooter use lead bullets or TMJ bullets, not FMJ or hollowpoint so the jackets don't come back at you).

Come on out anyway and bring your 9mm pistol out, I have some 9mm lead bullet ammo I'd "sell" for a reasonable price. Just let me know by tomorrow am.

Now that I realize there is a 3 gun happening, wondering how I may register. Just show up?

Also, regarding the firearms, is there any limitation on the type of gun for the handgun portion? I have 2 extremes. A .22 WMR and a .500 S&W. I was thinking I would use my KSG and SKS as the other two. I haven't done 3 gun before but thought it might be fun to try.

Your .500 SW would get more than a few looks, of bewilderment mind you, but yeah, your SKS rifle and KSG shotgun should be OK. It might be a good idea if you show up with a more "conventional" centerfire handgun, only because we usually shoot steel plates in 3 gun - although we could be shooting at paper targets, I don't know how the match will be set up.

As I posted earlier, bring your 9mm handgun and some extra mags out, I have some 9mm lead bullet ammo (reloaded by me-it works fine in my Ruger SR9 YMMV) that I'd sell for a reasonable price.

IIRC it's 5 bucks to shoot if you show up, although I could be wrong on that (bringing more cash is always a good idea :p).

Come on out, we can always use more shooters!!!

Thanks for the info shredder. Slept in and didn't see your message until you guys were already an hour or so into your event. Sorry I'm missing out this time around. I'll hopefully get an appropriate handgun soon. I'll keep an eye out on here for future 3 gun events. I'd love to try it out.
