So i found sowhere to shoot far the other day and i decided i was going to see if the scope adjustments were accurate on my mosin pu sniper and see what she can really do. I figured the target was 400m so i shot 1 shot with the acope set at 3, 4 and 500m and it still sounded like a hit at 5 so i took 2 shots. Well let me tell you that i am certainly not disapointed with the results.
The 2 by the o were with it set at 500m the one above the N is at 400m setting and below the N is wih the scope set at 300m. I was aiming at the black circle/ blob.

Just to put that in prespective. I put a few normal sized staples between the holes.

The two shots with the scope set at 500m are about 2" apart :)

I might do some more shootin if the sun lets me im just in the warm up shack as its -25 out there

There's an old saying "A poor workman blames his tools". I can't think of the opposite saying, but on two counts, yes the Mosin must be a sweetie, but it still takes skill to land holes that close together. Well done sir, I wish I was capable of that level of marksmanship!

Well thank you sixmaniac, ive shot 4500-5500( of wich only 2000 were .22lr) rounds this year so I guess practice does make perfect.

I figure if I had shot all with the scope set at 500m it would have been less horizontal spread because from the looks of things the crosshairs aren't level and the indexing lines on the scope and the mount seem to back that up.
This isn't a bone stock sniper though I did add a Timney trigger and put it in a archangel stock with the barrel free floated( I haven't used the barrel tensioner yet and really don't plan to). Oh and here's the best part I was using 203 gr mfs soft points, you gotta love when that happens.
