well i have a thompson center venturehttp://www.tcarms.com/articles/detail.php?a=18.i was told they should be in mid/end july.i plane on doing a rang report on this rifle for use guys.the Caliber i went with is 7mm mag.for glass its going to have a leupold rifleman 4-12X40mm.for the price i found it for was $570 with my 10% cause im a member of the store:cool:.
some of the Features of this rifle is really cool for its price like the D/M mag,user-adjustable trigger, and inch at 100 yards(rang report will see about that:rolleyes:).
i had a few other rifles i was looking at <$600.like the savage and, vangard.

The Icon got a bad rap due to it's cost, but it's plenty accurate. Hopefully the Venture hits the streets cheap enough and follows the Icon's performance.

Pretty much the same path they followed with the Omega. Bring out the high end version first, create an interest and then bring out a more affordable version. Looks nice and if it's anything like the Icon, it'll be a winner.

update

well today i was told they are getting them next week some time...
i was trying to find out some info out what scopebase they will use for the std leupold(i like steel),but with no luck yet.
i have some factory ammo for the test(norma 154 SP,Hornady 154SST,Fed Fusion 150grain)
have looked at hand loads yet so if anyone has a sweet haert load for 165SST,SP hornady or 175 SP hornady.for powders i have IMR 4831,4350,and BL-C(2)

For the 175 gr Hornady Spirepoints start at 56gr of the IMR 4350 and work up to 58-59grs. This should be in the 2850-2900fps second range. IMR 4831 start with 58grs and work up to 60-61grs for the same velocity. Great bullet IMO, and should do well on everything.

its getting closer!!!
the VISA was charged(under $600) and was told it was shipped out sept 4th:D.
so is there any info or pics ideas you guys want me to take?
