I was handling one the other day and was rather impressed with it's features, fit & finish, and overall handling.

Anyone else hunt with one of these?

Yup! I bought the muzzle loader version last year. It shoots awesome and I am looking to expand my arsenal of barrels for it. I would buy another in a heart beat, no questions asked.

this is mine and i love it ,50calbp and 7mm rem mag

Yep I have one in a 270win and a 300 win mag. put a bellem trigger kit into it so it is 2.5lb pull. It is a great gun.

What is the recoil like with the 270 and the 300 win mag in these rifles?

I was looking at one in 30.06 and I was going to use it until I can get a replacement 6.5x55 barrel, but my wife and I really are not fans of heavy recoil. Does the reflex stock live up to it's claims?

I have the old Encore model in .50 muzzleloader with a .22-250 and a .300Win mag barrel and the felt recoil from the .300 was worst than my .300 RUM but i guess the new stock from the Pro-Hunter must tame the recoil better than the Encore.

You don't have to watch a Jim Shockey vid for very long to see one in action. They certainly are working for him, his guides and a number of his clients.

In my quest for a ML, I had an opportunity to inspect the Pro Hunter (as well as the Endeavor) some months back.....great build quality overall. The individual looking to acquire additional CF rifle barrels will surely benefit.

However, IMHO, those models are a tad expensive when it comes to buying just the ML version. As a standalone ML rifle, TC's Triumph model is nice.

One of these is on my list for deer season this fall, in .50 bp. Have an old TC Thunderhawk right now but want a bit more range. Will top it off with a Nikon Omega scope. I am also going to try the new IMR White Hots for a charge and Barnes bullets.

I was out shooting my Encore .223 tonight. It was new, so I didnt know what to expect, but it is a real shooter. I tried a bunch of loads, and my worst 3 shot group was just over 1", and 4 loads shot less than .750. Look out gophers!!
