Thompson SMG Kits For 1022

Hey guys.

Are there many of you that have the Thompson SMG kit installed on a 1022?

Hard to install?

Pictures of the assembled kit?

I have the kit. Just need to get at it

I don't have pics of mine at the moment, but it is pretty straight forward to install. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to put together.

Where do you get these and how much are they?

Dave at hical was bringing them in, and may still be on a special order basis. IIRC, it was around $400 for the kit.

I used nothing on the wood, that's how it came from Hical. The kit is put together really well, all the pieces machined well. I'm very happy with it.

I might have to buy a 10/22 just so I can get that kit!!!!!!

I can just imagine the look on the guys' faces at the range (some of whom are LEO's)!!!!

You can also get short barrels too, I have a 12.5" Unfortunately I haven't found a short finned barrel yet. Might just have to get one made (by someone who is classed as a manufacturer)

All right, a 10/22 just got bumped to the top of the "Next Purchase" list!!!

Then I buy that kit - even if I have to go through a lot of import/export bullsh*t!!!

None of the companies in the US will ship to Canada. I talked to most of them. I was able to get one from Dave at hical. Not sure on the purchase of a kit in the US then bringing back yourself.

Dlask had some 12.5" finned barrels a few weeks ago, keep checking their site maybe they'll make more of them? Price was $250 IIRC
