Those Federal (?) ammo rebates from last fall?

I didn't keep a written record and I sort of remembered it was Remington, but looking at the boxes I now believe it was Federal Ammo that was offering big US $ rebates on Black Ammo purchases last fall, the store I saw this being offered in being Cabelas? I very carefully mailed the coupons and every available bar codes off, including the completed form and a nifty little address label from War Amps to ensure they got it correctly, but have had no response. I know I should be getting $120 back in US funds, it's no small thing.

Does anyone have their own feedback on this? I really hate being ripped off in this sort of thing, if that's what's happened, and I regard boycott as the only weapon available to a cheated consumer when dealing with businesses large or small, but Federal is one of my favourite ammo companies and I want to make sure of the facts before I activate the grudge.

They generally take FOREVER to mail them out. Like months. When did you mail it in?

It's also possible that they wait until the promotional period is over, and then issue all of the refunds at once?

I mailed the stuff out at the end of the postal strike, so in December, and as I remember at least a week before the closing date of the offer. Therefore it's been 2 months now, which is why I'm thinking nothing is coming back. In case it was overweight or over sized, I also put double postage on the envelope. And if that had been a problem, CP would have bounced the whole thing right back to me, that has happened.

Just received a "reward mailed" e-mail confirmation for my online submission mid-December ...
a late-November submission's cheque arrived 4 weeks after the similar e-mail ...

Well it appears there's still hope I guess, since I seem to be about a month behind those who are getting results. I'll give it that long before I do blacklist Black ammo. I don't know if I gave them an email address on the form, it would be unlike me.

Got mine a week or so ago but I bought day before black Friday and submitted online.

If I remember right it was a maximum amount of 100US ?

Correct me if I'm wrong but then i should have bought more if thats not the case

I remember a max 5 boxes for $20 rebate each. It's possible I was translating the maximum into Canadian $ when remembering that, but that would actually amount to $130 in these Liberal days.

It's always a good idea to keep photocopies or scans of everything you send in for rebates, etc. Mail gets lost and if you have no proof you're screwed.

My calculation is that if a company is going to honour such a commitment, they will, and if they don't there's not a heck of a lot you can do about it, especially if they're in another country. Well except as I say to boycott them.

I submitted my rebate online the beginning of December. I just received the check in the mail last week. So almost 3 moths total for the entire process.

Filled the form online twice (2 different products) on january 13, minutes from one another. Received 2 "your rebate is approved" emails, one last friday and one yesterday.

Filling the forms online seems to make everything a lot faster than sending the stuff by snail mail.

Decided to sign up for a CCI rebate back in January, just checked the status the other day - apparently I don't qualify for a rebate purchasing a crate of .22LR. "Multiple purchases required".

Bugger 'em then.
