Hey everyone, when i started that poll regarding what ppl use to hunt turkey with (clothing or just the blind or both) i actually had this blind in mind. I was wondering if anyone else has this particular product and what are your thoughts and opinions for it? Its on sale at Bass Pro for $100 so i thought that thats not to bad of a deal. Comments? Feel free to let them fly! :D

BTW, sorry for the small picture, got it from the Bass Pro web site.

I have one.

I'm not convinced it is a good set up for peripheral vision, but straight out its fine.

Mine also has a lawn chair attached to it so manouvering can be a nuisance vs sitting on straight back chair.

I carried mine for a mile with no fatigue so the weight seems to be finie.

Would I buy another? I don't think so, I prefer natural blinds mixed with cammo.

If I was going to buy another it'd be the dog house from Ameristep

I've hunted in those and liked it alot. Great vision all around.

I'm not a fan of enclosed blinds. I don't like to be restricted like that.

I could understand using a simple burlap screen or white sheet in front and beside you, that allowed you to look over. And I could understand putting some kind of roof over top too. But you gotta have 360 degree sightline.

But there isn't a critter on this planet that you cannot hunt by remaining still and keeping the wind in your favor. Just watch that crazy video of the cow moose sniffing the broadhead on that guy's arrow for proof!

Btw, I have a buddy that lives in Ontario and he's into the turkey hunting. He knocked over 2 toms each of the last 2 years. He does not use a blind. He also says turkeys are crazy and detect movement unbelievably quickly.

Well because of the turkeys ability to detect movement and such, (and my inability to sit still for hours on end) i thought a blind might help. The chair was an idea (still haven't seen it in person yet, so i haven't really got to see just how useful it could be, especially with blind spots) but the dog house was also an excellent suggestion as well. I'll have to look into that. Think i might need to take a trip up to bass pro soon, so at least ill be able to compare the two.

I should add, any more comments regarding those dog houses would be greatly appreciated. :)
